A flotilla of 23 immaculately maintained classic Feadships gathered at the Feadship yard at the Kaag in early July for the second Feadship Heritage Fleet Rendezvous. The high turnout and enthusiasm was a further sign of how this owner’s club is growing, with various new members taking the total to well over 50.
The first Friday evening of the Rendezvous included a yacht hop and a reception on the 1965 Feadship Lucia to celebrate her Golden Jubilee. This lovely motoryacht was owned by the Van Lent family and is named after Jan van Lent’s wife. The jubilee was very pleasant with a serenade on the lake for Lucia and the attendees.
The Saturday morning started with the association’s second general assembly as members reflected on the past year and discussed future plans. This included the announcement of Chapman Ducote as a new board member, who gave a video message to all members present. A new committee was created to take a more in-depth look into the heritage of the Feadship fleet. Members of the committee are Jan van Lent, Huib de Vries, Nico Verhaar and Jan Bouwmeester. The assembly was followed by a tour of the yard, a unique opportunity for these owners to see the most modern Feadship's under construction.
We were delighted that so many members decided to attend this prestigious event in the summer season,” comments Feadship Heritage Fleet chairman Victor Muller. “As the association continues to welcome more members, owners thoroughly enjoyed celebrating the heritage of their beautiful boats together.
On behalf of the Feadship Heritage Fleet we would like to thank everyone who attended the Rendezvous and helped make it such a resounding success. We are also grateful for the sponsorship of Pantaenius, Sevenstar, Studio Stomp, Awlgrip, Gaastra and Tante Kee.
